Mahayana Crew
Mahayana Crew is a collective of movement educators dedicated to teaching ALL beings through various movement practices such as Yoga, Dance, & Fitness.
In Sanskrit, "Mahayana” means "the Great Vehicle." In Buddhist doctrine, Mahayana is often compared to a raft or ship that carries one across the world of suffering to a better world. Mahayana Crew’s movement educators believe that movement-based practices can also a vehicle to better someone's hour, day, week, or world. Mahayana is known as the dedication of one’s spiritual efforts for the benefit and enlightenment of ALL beings.
Many of our teachers started out by sharing our knowledge with friends or family members. Now, we are honored to provide quality movement-based classes to others.
Mahayana Crew’s women came together in Summer 2020to start this platform, spearheaded by Amanda Konstantine. We met as a part of a 200-hour Vinyasa training. With many studios being closed due to COVID-19, and the future of the fitness industry being uncertain, we decided to create our own donation-based/low-cost platform to provide movement classes virtually so we could deepen our teaching skills while providing an affordable service to those with limited access to movement and social activity.
Please take a moment to read over each teacher's bio as well as glance at our schedule (updated weekly!). Step outside the box, try a class you’ve never tried, meet some great people along the way. That is exactly what we all did, and how we came together.
This is a safe space. We welcome everyone. We are here to support ALL beings.
